【SDGs】米づくりから生まれる街の再生と未来の地域社会

米づくりを通して、地域のコミュニティづくりや街が再生するきっかけづくりをしている殿塚建吾さん。普段は不動産業を営み、街に活気を取り戻そうと多くの物件を生まれ変わらせてきました。一方2012年からは、個人の活動として米づくりを行い、田植えや収穫時には地域の人々が集まる一大イベントに成長。この活動を通して、今後は地域の中で小さな挑戦が生まれるコミュニティづくりにも取り組みたいと語る殿塚さんの思い描く未来とは？

Mr. Kengo Tonozuka is a man who uses rice farming to build community and revitalize the town. By day, he works in real estate, where he has transformed numerous properties to breathe life back into the town. Since 2012, however, he has also pursued rice farming as a personal endeavor, an initiative that has blossomed into a major community event, bringing locals together to plant and harvest the rice. Through these activities, Mr. Tonozuka says he would also like to work on developing the community in the region where small-scale projects can emerge. What kind of future does Mr. Tonozuka envision?
